We were pretty excited to receive the Atezr L2 24w laser cutting and engraving machine, and would like to thank Atezr for the opportunity to review and demonstrate the machine.

So let’s take a look at what’s in the box
Installation Manual
On opening the box the first thing we find is the Installation Manual. Very handy as we need to assemble the machine once we have unpacked it.

Air Assist Manual
Our Atezr L2 came with Air Assist, so I’m glad they have included instructions on installing it.

User Guide
There’s no shortage of useful information provided with the machine. And the user guide will come in handy once we get the machine unpacked, assembled and ready to use.

Cutting Mat
There is a metal cutting mat. This is essential to use when you are laser cutting and you want to protect your work surface.
Simply remove the blue cover and lay it on the workspace.

Lots of Screws and Some Allen Keys
The screws are each contained in little plastic bags that are numbered with the steps of assembly. Awesome this way you know exactly what screws you should be using at what step you are putting together. The assorted Allen Keys are in their own plastic bag – great at least we don’t have to worry as to whether we have the right tools available.

There is also a USB stick and a cleaning cloth included. The cloth will be used to clean the lens when it gets dirty. In the meantime it will sit neatly in it’s little plastic bag.

Power Supply & Touch Screen Cable
An essential component – the power supply.

And of course the power supply cable. Simply plug one end into the power supply and the other into you power point.

Also in this packet is the Touch Screen Cable.

Laser Module
The all important laser module. It’s quite weighty and solid. The orange safety piece is also attached.

Air Assist
The next item to be removed from the packaging is the Air Assist. This is the first of our lasers to come with air assist.
Front Support Beam
The front support beam is where the controls are set.

Touch Control Screen

The back of the touch control screen mounts onto the front support beam.

X-Axis Rail
This is the rail that you attach the laser head to once the machine is assembled. The laser head will freely move back and forward across this rail when you are engraving or cutting out a design.

Fixed Focus Block
The fixed focus block is used to set the distance between the laser head and the material. You need to set the distance each time you change the type of material you are using. This is an important step if you want to get clean engraving and cutting on your projects.

More Cables – USB and Air Assist
Two more important cables. One is for the Air Assist component and the other is a USB cable.
I like to label my cables so I know what machine they belong to. I do it once the machine is set up, that way I always not which cables belong to which laser.

Rear Support Beam
Not much to say here. This is the rear support beam and the two side beams will be attached to it.

Y-Axis Rails
This is the left Y-Axis rail and it will be attached to the front and back rails on the left hand side of the machine.

This is the right Y-Axis rail and it will be attached to the front and back rails on the right hand side of the machine.

Safety Glasses
Atezr have included a snazzy pair of protective glasses. It’s most important that you wear safety glasses when you are using your laser so that your eyes are well protected.

Transfer Shaft

So that’s all the components that come in the box. Next it’s onto putting the machine together and testing it.
