We are so loving the LaserPecker 2 portable laser machine. It makes it so easy to engrave on so many things as it is so lightweight. It’s definitely a laser that belongs in my craft room.

We have previously done a review and demonstration showing you how to create a number of projects using the LaserPecker 2 and we thought it was time to try it out on some denim jeans.
Paula is great aunt to her gorgeous little niece Aurelia (love that name), and she and her mum recently came to visit, so we decided to engrave a couple of pair of jeans for her.
Of course half the fun with engraving on baby clothes is that you can use all those cute, funny little characters, and that’s just what we did. We get our SVG files from Creative Fabrica and apart from the fact that they have such an amazing array of files available for all manner of projects, they also have a great assortment of super cute animals.
Watch the step-by-step video here:
The files we chose for Aurelia’s jeans:
These graphics needed to be super cute and it took us a bit of time to make our selections from all the fabulous Creative Fabrica files available. The designs we ended up selecting were taken from different Cute Animal Bundles.
We added some hearts and stars as fillers. And these shapes are available in the LaserPecker Design Space.
The toddler jeans turned out great so this encouraged us to engrave a pair of adult jeans.

Files used for the adult jeans:
For these jeans we used a selection of butterflies from one bundle.
Once again we added hearts and stars as fillers. We did look at adding flowers, vines or bees but felt this would be too much, so we settled on keeping the design relatively open. But you can go crazy if you want and add a whole assortment of designs.

Settings Used
The settings we chose were the Cloth setting from the material settings available in the LaserPecker software. However, these settings were a little on the light side and we wanted the result to be more intense so we changed the Depth to a 5.
It’s important that you test before committing to these settings.
- Power – 70%
- Depth – 5
The denim fabric didn’t tear when stretched and the laser didn’t burn through to the underside of the fabric.
Using the LaserPecker is just amazing for this type of work. It is easily moved around and placed wherever you want to engrave the next design.
Simply do a preview to check for your design placement and press start.
The machine is really light and I can pick it up with one hand to move it around.
