When you purchase an xTool F1 Slide Extension you also receive five clamps and these are pretty ingenious as you can use them in a variety of different ways.
There are two different types of clamps so lets’s take a look at each and show you how they work.

Clamp #1
Now this is Clamp #1 and you get two of these and this one is spring loaded and I’ll show you what that does in just a moment.
(Also not sure why my hands are so bright pink in these photos. They don’t look like that in real life.)

Now with this clamp you can lift up the lever on the side and turn it so that it faces towards your project to hold it in place and it locks in place nicely. You can turn it to the left or the right to suit your project.

You’ll notice on the bottom of this clamp that there are two knobs.

These fit into the gaps on the slide extension so you just place it in and slide it along to where you want it.

And then just tighten up the screw. These hold nice and tight.

You can also slide it into any of the middle gaps as well. Again just slide it to where you want it and tighten the screw.

And you can also slide it on at a different angle.

Here you can see just one example of what you can do with these clamps and how the spring-loaded part works.
Now for the first clamp we just lifted up the lever so that it fits over the piece of wood and then moved it into position. And for the one at the bottom I am pinching the spring part in order to slide it along.

Now the next thing we did was tighten up the screws so that they were nice and firmly tightened and they hold the piece of wood super tight. You are not going to get any movement with these in place.

Clamp #2
This is clamp number two and you get three of these now they work in a different way to clamp one.

As you can see there is a lever on the side and you can move it backwards and forwards just by squeezing against it.

Like the first clamp that we just went through this one also allows you to turn the lever to the left or right to suit your project.

However unlike the first clamp this one doesn’t slide on, instead you squeeze the lever and you clamp it to the slide extension.

Then you take your project and your material and in this case we have an MDF coaster and we place it under the clamp and tighten the screw and just tighten it until it’s firmly in place. (And to be honest, we found that we didn’t really need to tighten the screw as it stayed firmly in place pretty much on its own.)

Then we place the second clamp in the same way so you can see the result below.

So that’s just a couple of ways to use these clamps and kudos to whoever designed them as they do a great job.
